This incident caused the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
