Automobiles in German Town Discovered Covered with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Law Enforcement
Authorities reported they were contacted by a resident who noticed a vehicle in Hanau smeared with reddish substance

Roughly 50 cars have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm police.

Vehicles, walls and mailboxes were marked, sometimes with swastikas, they stated in a statement.

Law enforcement state they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a man noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored liquid.

The liquid had been drawn in the shape of a swastika, they added.

Police then located numerous other smeared vehicles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under laws prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Officials say early analysis show the fluid was likely human bodily fluid.

"There is still no indication as to its source; investigators are presently not informed of any physical harm in association with the occurrence," they added.

Municipal representatives stated they were working "to solve the case" and have requested to the community for tips.

A high-ranking official commented the vandalism made him stunned and had to be resolved promptly.

"This incident affects the center of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the extremist terrorist attack in 2020," he wrote on social media, recalling the murder of nine individuals by a assailant targeting residents of immigrant origin in February 2020.
